Why is Mars Color Red ?

Mars was not always red, at least that's the theory put forward by a scientist who has discovered the reason why Mars is red.

According to Dr John Brandednberg, about 180 million years ago, a nuclear reaction Mars naturally destroy and annihilate all life on Mars. The reaction was also creates a shock wave that changed the planet Mars became filled with dry sand.

He told Fox News, "The surface of Mars is covered with a thin layer of radioactive materials including uranium, thorium and potassium radioactive - and this pattern that emits a hot point of Mars.

"A nuclear explosion make this planet full of debris," he said.

"Map of Mars gamma ray revealed a large red dot that seems to emit a pattern of debris on the other side of Mars also has a red dot."

Dr. Brandenburg, a senior scientist at Orbital Technologies Corp., said the explosion of nature is equivalent to one million megaton hydrogen bomb in the northern region of Mars Acidalium Mare where the blast has a large concentration of radioactive substances.

The blast also create the atmosphere of Mars is full of radio-isotopes, which can be seen recently with gamma ray spectrometry data taken by NASA, he said.

Radioactive reaction that also explains why Mars looks red.

Dr. Brandenburg believe natural nuclear reaction can occur on our own planet - and it could happen again.

Meanwhile, Dr. David Beaty, Mars program science manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, said he (Brandenburg) found the idea interesting and fascinating.

But to prove a science, institutions need to plan a mission to explore Mars Acidalium Mare, reported the Daily Mail.
